Dashboards & Reporting
Business dashboards that update themselves.
If your Monday numbers take an afternoon of copy-paste, you don't have reporting — you have a hobby that costs a workday a week. We build dashboards that pull from the systems you already run and stay current on their own.
Why this matters
You can't run a business on numbers from two weeks ago.
The pattern is the same almost everywhere we look: QuickBooks in one tab, the CRM in another, a scheduling tool in a third, and a spreadsheet holding it all together. Somebody — often the owner — spends part of every week copy-pasting between systems to produce the report, and by the time it's assembled, it's already stale. The numbers exist. They're just trapped in five different places.
The fix is measurable. Earlier in Rob's career, at a professional-services firm, that weekly reporting cycle went from 6 hours to 45 minutes — same numbers, same format the owner already trusted, pulled automatically instead of by hand. That's most of a workday back every week, before you count the decisions that got made sooner because the numbers were fresh.
Founder Rob Neal spent sixteen years at JPMorgan Chase, where reporting had to be right — millions of customers, systems that couldn't break, and executives making real decisions off those numbers every morning. That's the reporting discipline we bring to this work: decision-grade design, sized for a business your size.
What gets measured
The numbers an operator actually runs on.
Cash
Where the money is and where it's headed — bank position, receivables, payables, and what the next few weeks look like, without opening QuickBooks.
Learn more →Margin
What each job, client, or product actually makes after the real costs land — not what the proposal said it would make.
Learn more →Jobs & pipeline
What's sold, what's scheduled, and what's stuck — pulled straight from your CRM, so the pipeline meeting starts with numbers instead of opinions.
Learn more →Labor
Hours against jobs and capacity against the calendar — so you know it's time to hire before the overtime bill tells you.

How we build it
Connect the sources. Kill the copy-paste. Hand you the keys.
First we make your systems talk to each other. QuickBooks, your CRM, spreadsheets, scheduling and POS tools — most connect directly or through Zapier or Make, and where they can't, we build the small piece that bridges the gap. The goal is blunt: nobody on your team copy-pastes between systems to produce a number, ever again.
Then we design around decisions, not decoration. One screen an owner can read in five minutes: what changed, what needs attention, what to raise at the Tuesday meeting. If a chart doesn't change a decision, it doesn't make the cut.
And when it's done, it's yours — built in your accounts, documented in plain English, and handed off so your team can run and adjust it without depending on us to see your own numbers. We deliver remote-first from Lakeland, FL, serving Tampa Bay and clients nationwide, with on-site time when it's worth it. Curious what the connecting work looks like before you call? Common questions
Dashboards and automated reporting, in plain terms.
- Which tools can you pull data from?
- Most of what small businesses actually run: QuickBooks, CRMs like HubSpot, Jobber, or ServiceTitan, spreadsheets and Google Sheets, POS and payment systems, project and scheduling tools. If it has an export or an API, we can usually connect it — directly, or through Zapier or Make when that's the simpler path.
- We run everything on spreadsheets — is it too early for a dashboard?
- No — spreadsheets are a perfectly good data source, and often the fastest place to start. We tighten up how the numbers get entered so they're consistent, then build the dashboard on top. When you later grow into a CRM or a proper accounting setup, the dashboard comes with you: the sources change, the numbers don't.
- Who maintains the dashboard after you build it?
- You do — and that's by design. It's built in your accounts, documented in plain English, and handed off so a reasonably comfortable spreadsheet user can adjust it. Most clients need nothing more. If you'd rather have someone technical on your side as things evolve, our Modernization Retainer covers ongoing changes without hiring anyone.
- How much does a business dashboard cost?
- Every engagement starts with a free scoping call. Within two business days you get a written fixed quote, and that number never changes after signing — no hourly meter, no surprise change orders. Scope depends on how many systems we're connecting and how much cleanup the data needs, and we'll tell you that plainly on the call.
