How it works

A defined process. A fixed scope. Roughly two weeks, end to end.

Summit Signal is intentionally not open-ended consulting. The scope is set during a 20-minute call, the data exchange is bounded, and the deliverable is finite.

How it works

Three steps. About two weeks, end to end.

  1. 01

    Submit your business data

Invoice exports, quote history, customer lists, aging reports. CSV or XLSX. We tell you exactly what to pull and where to find it in QuickBooks.

  2. 02

    Summit Labs runs the analysis

Deterministic metrics first; AI generates narrative second. Every finding is reviewed by an analyst before it reaches you.

  3. 03

    Receive findings and a roadmap

A designed PDF report with executive summary, ranked findings, estimated impact, and a 30/60/90-day prioritized action plan.

Summit Signal is not just a report request. The client journey has a visible evidence room, upload queue, mapping gate, module analysis workspace, and reviewed delivery path.

02 / Upload

The evidence room opens with precise upload requests.

After kickoff, the client sees request rows for revenue, cash timing, work/labor, and controls evidence. Each upload is categorized, parsed when possible, and logged against the project.

Typical timeline

What happens after you pay.

Five phases. Roughly two weeks for Snapshot and Core; two to three for Plus; three to five for Hybrid (which adds a bounded advisory sprint after the diagnostic ships). The numbers below assume responses to data requests within one business day — that's the biggest variable.

  1. 01

    Kickoff

    Day 0

We do — Welcome email, intake checklist, secure upload link.

You do — Receive checklist; nothing required yet beyond confirming who's the point of contact on your side.

  2. 02

    Data exchange

    Days 1–3

We do — Acknowledge receipt the same business day. Map columns to the canonical schema and flag anything ambiguous in writing.

You do — Upload your CSVs / XLSX exports. If exports cannot answer a module question, confirm the narrowest access path during kickoff.

  3. 03

    Analysis & drafting

    Days 3–10

We do — Run the modules in your scope. Generate findings with evidence trails, draft the prioritization plan, design the report.

You do — Quiet phase — you'll hear from us only if a data question comes up.

  4. 04

    Review

    Days 10–14

We do — Send the PDF and dashboard 24 hours before the call. Walk you through findings, debate prioritization, refine the plan live.

You do — Read the pre-share, attend the review (30 min Snapshot, 60 min Core, exec presentation Plus / Hybrid), push back where it matters.

  5. 05

    Close

    Days 14–18

We do — Deliver the revised report and the implementation plan as a separate one-pager you can share with your team.

You do — Decide what moves first. Optionally roll into Ongoing for monthly cadence on the items that actually need to land.

Exact timing for your engagement is set in your scoping call and confirmed in the SOW. Day ranges above are the typical shape; tier, workflow interviews, and scoped access needs can flex them by a few days in either direction.

Tier snapshots

What the first two weeks tend to look like.

Same intake and evidence discipline; different breadth, review format, and calendar stretch. Hybrid adds advisory time after the diagnostic artifact lands.

TierModule breadthReview momentTypical calendar
Snapshot1–2 modules30 min readout~2 weeks when exports return quickly
Core3–4 modules60 min working session + 30/60/90~2 weeks; can stretch a few days with mapping questions
PlusAll 8 modulesExecutive presentation + sequenced roadmap~2–3 weeks depending on interviews / access
HybridSame analytic depth as PlusPlus deliverable + capped advisory sprint (per SOW)~3–5 weeks including the sprint window

Access levels

Choose how much data you want to share. Most clients pick the simplest option.

We default to the least-data path. Every level above the default is opt-in and explained in writing before access is granted.

Level 1 · Upload only

Default for every diagnostic. Most clients stop here.

You provide CSV or XLSX exports of your invoices, quotes, customers, jobs, and aging data. No system access. No integrations. The diagnostic runs entirely from what you choose to share.

Level 2 · Scoped access path

Used only when exports cannot answer the module question.

If system access is part of the engagement, the scope is documented in writing before any access is granted, limited to the diagnostic question, and revoked at the end. We never write back to your invoices, customer records, or CRM.

Level 3 · Workflow analysis

Available on Plus engagements where process friction is the focus.

Communication metadata (timing, frequency, handoff patterns) — not message content. Designed to surface bottlenecks, not to monitor employees. Documented before any data is touched.
